Poco wants to solve the biggest problem with cheap Xiaomi phones

In recent months, we've seen cheap Xiaomi mobiles meet interesting specifications, but not much in software, with a very heavy interface. This is something that was confirmed by analysts in the analysis of the Redmi Note 11, who had difficulty moving the interface. Something similar happened on the Poco X4 Pro, but not the same as on the Xiaomi phone.

That is why they at Poco are considering the possibility of creating a less heavy version of MIUI so that cheaper mobile phones do not have problems when browsing it.

In recent years, we have seen how the MIUI interface has become so much more complex that it is starting to affect the speed of many mobile phones on a daily basis, even mid-range phones. It is true that this is not a problem with phones with high specifications, but Xiaomi should not neglect the performance of its cheapest and best-selling mobile phones that face this problem in the interface.

Something similar happens to Poco because it uses the MIUI interface, which is a slightly modified version of the interface, but with the same problems and advantages as on Xiaomi phones.

In an interview conducted by Poco's General Manager Kevin Keogh and Marketing Director Angus Kai Ho Ng with XDA Developers, it was acknowledged that the company is considering using a lighter version of MIUI on some phones.

This does not mean that we will see changes in the short term, especially since Xiaomi will be the one who should do something like this, but we really hope that this idea will be implemented and that Xiaomi will also implement it in its cheaper phones because it is a big problem.

With strong competition like realme and OPPO in the entry range, Xiaomi should solve this while ranking first in many countries in terms of sales, before it changes and loses its dominance.
